abScopus Medical is a new startup company in the SouthUp Accelerator that aims to develop a new
system for the treatment of cancer (solid tumors). The main component of the system will be a hand-
held mini-robot that will steer a needle to different sites within the tumor to apply local therapy in each
site – injection of drug or ablation. We have a working prototype of a similar system that was designed
to conduct biopsy that will need to be revised into the new application. Another component of the
system is a navigation system, which is fully developed and will need to be used and adapted for the
new clinical application.
The company will operate at the SouthUp Accelerator, so employees should be residents of “Otef Aza”.
Start of work is expected around mid-2024. We are looking for full-time employees for a period of at
least 3 years. Team-oriented candidates are preferred, as all the below listed employees will work as a
team on the development, construction, and testing of the mini-robot system and its accessories.
