You are:
An experienced leader with at least 4 years spent leading a team of at least 3 developers. You’re passionate, intelligent, opinionated but also humble and respectful of other people’s opinions. You’re able to create a vision for your team, lead people throughout its execution, and are both willing and able to mentor other engineers.
You’ve written production grade code and are allergic to ugly and unmaintainable code. As well as being familiar with software engineering best practices (testing, code reviews, pair-programming, immutability, etc), you’re always on top of bad practices and anti-patterns. You’ve developed in Scala, Java or other JVM-based languages, making you the perfect person to both lead a team, and be hands-on, taking part in our coding efforts.
Bonus points if you:
- Have developed, designed and maintained highly available and large scale production systems.
- Are skilled in continuous integration, continuous delivery and TDD.
- Have experience in . languages such as Javascript, Python, Ruby, etc.
- Have an excellent understanding of database systems, relational and otherwise, including sharding for big data applications.
